In Loving Memory Of
July 31, 1952 - January 19, 2015
Beloved mother, wife, surrogate to many, and true superheroine.
"Betsey" ascended in the arms of her family in her home in Talent, Ore., at 3:29 a.m., after a protracted battle with ALS. She is survived by her husband, three sons, a stepdaughter, a stepson, and ten thousand grandchildren. Betsey was a sojourner through many lifelong adversities, a lover of history, and the matriarch of a community much larger than those of us bearing the name Dial. She raised three sons on her own, put herself through college to earn a Bachelor's Degree in History, and became the proprietor of a handful of homes here in Talent. She is best remembered for her tendency to raise every child who crossed her path, her juxtaposition of academic brilliance, perfection of neo-American Frontier style, her unconditional devotion to any lucky enough to be loved by her, and her ability to fruit lime trees in February. In Oregon.
Her service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Valley Bible Fellowship at 616 South Pacific Highway, Talent, OR 97540.
Rest in Peace, Mom.
