Leslie Walter Kastner, Jr., 89, of Jacksonville, Ore. passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his daughter's home. He was born August 29, 1925 in Odem, Texas to Leslie Walter and Fannie Loretta (Hurst) Kastner, Sr.
He married Margaret Marilyn Blalack in 1947 and had four children. They later divorced in 1966. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from July 1943 until February 1946 during World War II in the Pacific theater. Les moved to Jacksonville, Ore. in 2001 from Yuma, Ariz. to be close to his daughter.
Les is survived by his sons, Victor and Stephan Kastner; daughters, Laurellyn Furrow and Clarissa Soderberg; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
