Mary Ann (Schuler) Hill
Mary Ann (Schuler) Hill passed away February 24, 2015 in Central Point, Ore. She was born September 5, 1929 in Madison, Minn. to Alfred and Edna Schuler. Mary and Dr. Victor Hill were married in Lakeview, Ore. in 1957.
Mary attended Southern Oregon University and received a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1953. She was an elementary teacher for more than 30 years. Mary was a member of the Oregon Montessori Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, American Association of University Women, and the Medford Congregational United Church of Christ.
Mary was an artist in all she did, molding young minds, creating beautiful gardens, designing and sewing quilts, or engaging in a spirited game of bridge. Her wit, charm, intelligence, and kindness will be missed by all.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Chuck Schuler and Patrick Schuler; sons, Charles, Thomas, and John; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Schuler and David Schuler and her husband, Victor Hill.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ. Rev. Kurt Katzmar will officiate. A celebration of life will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. at Eden Valley Orchards. Please wear bright and cheerful colors in honor of Mary.
