Patricia Ann Miller

The Final Step: Into the Arms of Christ

Patricia Miller died peacefully, surrounded by loving family, following a stroke November 4, 2015. She was born July 1, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. to Josephine and James A. Foley. She was the first of seven siblings born in the United States. Her elder four siblings were born in Ireland.

They were a true Irish-Catholic family in every sense of the word. They moved to southern California in the early 1950s. On New Years Eve 1953, she met Eugene G. Miller and they were married May 11, 1954. They welcomed three children: Lisa Geriann, Brian Gerard, and Kerry Joy Ann.

In 1971 the Miller family moved to Oregon to a two-acre farm. In the late 1980s they built a home in town and enjoyed living there for many years. Gene and Pat spent 45  wonderful years together.

Pat was passionate about her family and friends, her faith, her puppies, and her 12--step program. This year she was privileged to have celebrated 47 years of sobriety. She sponsored many men and women over the years and many have remained lifelong friends and "family." Those of us left behind are "trudging the road of happy destiny."

She is survived by her children and their families. She has five grandchildren: Chellie, Daniel, Patrick, Jordan, and James. She had one great-grandson, Brantley Jaxx and one great-granddaughter, Paityn Lauren , born November 6, 2015.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Twin Creeks. A Holy Mass will be served at 11:00, Monday, November 23, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point, Ore.
