Eloise Eileen Friesen

Eloise Eileen Friesen passed away peacefully December 6, 2015 in Medford, Ore. She was 89 years old.

Eloise was born May 30, 1926 in Medford to H. Earl and Mildred Peyton. As a native southern Oregonian, her father's family was one of the original homesteaders of the upper Rogue River, what is now known as the Laurelhurst district.

After graduating from Medford High School in 1944, she started working for Copko Electric, which later became Pacific Power and Light. On February 20, 1948 she married Henry Friesen in Medford, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Eloise was a homemaker and legal secretary. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and was very active in her church. She loved to sing and was a member of the Southern Oregon Sound Sweet Adelines.

Eloise is survived by her three children, Greg Friesen, Darrel Friesen (Sue), and Janet Mahon (James); six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Church of Christ, 1885 N. Keeneway Dr., Medford, OR
