Velva June Cosler-Seto

Velva was at home with her husband and children when she was called to be with the Lord March 8, 2016, at the age of 87. She was born June 9, 1928 to Alden Delno and Martha (Minor) Dryden in Whitetail, Mont.

After graduating from school in Noxon, Mont. Velva moved to Oregon with her family. There, she met and later married Robert Cosler in 1947. Together they had four children.

Many of Velva’s years were spent raising her children and providing loving care to her nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children. Velva was an accomplished artist and was also actively involved with Beta Sigma Phi. Velva also enjoyed reading and traveling. She worked locally at various jobs while living in Jacksonville, Ore. , including several years working for the city engineer.

After the passing of her husband, Robert, she was blessed again and married Edward I. Seto in 1997 on the island of Maui. Velva and Ed made their home in Medford, Ore. for 18 years. They enjoyed traveling, and visiting and spending time with their family.

Velva is survived by her beloved husband, Ed; her four children; five step-children; all of their spouses; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband, Bob Cosler, and her great-granddaughter, Stephanie.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Memory Gardens, 1395 Arnold Ln., Medford, Ore. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 with a reception and light refreshments, also at Memory Gardens. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn will officiate.
