Deloris Shehorn, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away April 22, 2016 at Magel Adult Foster Care in Eagle Point, Ore. She was born August 27, 1925 to Pete and Bertha Sharp in Grants Pass, Ore. She was the middle child of nine brothers and sisters.
We would like to thank the staff and friends at the Magel Adult Foster Care Home and Asante Hospice for their loving care and support.
Deloris lived in Grants Pass until she married Fred George Trautman May 16, 1941. They moved to Central Point, Ore. to raise their three children, Rose Marie, Sharon Louise, and Raymond Gene Trautman.
Following Fred's passing, Deloris married Reinhold Boes February 17, 1957. They remained in the area and built a business in Central Point, Ore., raising her children, and a daughter, Teresa. Following Reinhold's departure, Deloris married James Shehorn, April 10, 1971, adding two children to her family, Laura and Mark. She loved and adored her children, eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
Deloris enjoyed her 46 years with the same pinochle club; many of the original members still play to this day. Her garden was her passion which was very therapeutic for her; a place to commune with our Lord and Savior. Some of her other adventures in life were a motorcycle club, a cruise to Alaska, a train ride through the Canadian Rockies, a trip to Branson, Mo., and many other exciting vacations throughout the years.
Deloris is survived by her beloved husband, James; her children, Rose Marie Kaufman (James), Teresa K. Wood (Frank), Laura Hibber (Don), and Mark Shehorn (Anita); eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whom she loved as family. She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Fred and Reinhold; her daughter, Sharon Louise Jeskey; and her son, Raymond Gene Trautman.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel at 11:00 a.m., and then continuing the celebration of life at The Meadows Club House, 555 Freeman Road #270, Central Point, Ore.
