Michelle Leigh Groubert
April, 8, 1985 - May 10, 2016
"And Jesus said to him, 'Assuredly, I say to you,
today you will be with Me in Paradise.' " (Luke 23:43)
Michelle "Shelly" Groubert rode her way to Heaven on May 10th, 2016 and is now reunited with her twin sister, Jennifer.
Michelle grew up in California and intermittently lived in Oregon until finally settling in the Rogue Valley with her daughter, Alanna in 2012. Michelle was a beautiful, talented, savvy, free spirit who lived life to the fullest.
She had a great passion for the outdoors, whether it was snowboarding, hiking, camping, rafting, or riding her motorcycle. She loved animals which was evident through the pets she rescued and the places she worked, such as All Creatures Animal Hospital and Great Cats World Park.
At the time of her passing, she was attending Northwest College, adding yet another talent to her repertoire of artistic endeavors which included face painting, jewelry-making, and henna tattoos.
Michelle made a tremendous impact on the lives of those she knew and loved. Her enthusiastic "adorkable" personality and fun loving spirit flowed through in her roles as mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is loved by many.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Alanna Groubert; loved one, Max McCormac; mother, Luana Lopez; father, Daniel Henderson; brothers and sisters, Justin, Sarah, Jacob, and Katelyn Hukill; grandmother, Mary Henderson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her infant twin sister, Jennifer Nicole Henderson.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. June 4, 2016 at Trinity Church, 2555 Corey Rd., White City, Ore. A potluck gathering will immediately follow.
