Ronald H. Lamson

Ronald H. (Ron) Lamson, 85, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly May 26, 2016. He was born in Westwood, Calif. and raised in Beiber, Calif. He married the love of his life, Barbara Rae Purcell in 1948.
Ron moved to Yreka, Calif. in 1959, where he was the Standard Oil Distributor for Siskiyou County. He served his community as a member of Kiwanis, City Council, and then Mayor of Yreka. In 1979 he and his family moved to Klamath Falls, Ore., building and operating the Klamath Racquet Club. Ron was a serial entrepreneur, owning and developing several successful businesses. Upon his retirement in 1992, Ron and Barbara moved to Central Point, Ore.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Lamson; their three sons, Ron Lamson (Kathy), Denny Lamson (Sheila), and Kevin Lamson (Margaret); seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was a devoted family man, outdoorsman, and sportsman throughout his life.
He was an avid fan of his kids', and grandkids' sporting events. He never missed the opportunity to spend quality time with his family, cheering on his favorite sports teams; the S.F. 49ers, S.F. Giants, Oregon Ducks, and Duke Blue Devils.
Ron placed his faith and life in Jesus Christ, attending Rogue Valley Fellowship for the past 24 years. He exhibited his faith through his love and generosity to both family and friends. Ron had no enemies and was adored by all those who knew him and whose lives he touched. He will be sorely missed and will always be remembered.
A memorial celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. June 4, 2016 at Mountain Church, Medford Ore. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hearts With A Mission, 711 Medford Center #334, Medford Ore., 97504, or at www.heartswithamission.org.
