Donald Paul Sagehorn
Jade, sun stones, a good laugh, good food, good company, good fishing, good friends, bad movies, clean air, nature, freedom, peace, enlightenment. He sought after all of these. Cowboy, farmer, plumber, carpenter, Army courier, father, husband, rock hound, painter, philosopher, sculptor, storyteller, and Zen Buddhist. He was all of these and much more.Donald was born in Covelo, Calif., to Charles and Helen (Coble) Sagehorn; brothers and sisters, Juanita (Sagan), Frank, Doris (Naylor), and Robert; nieces and nephews, Ann (Granberg) and Pauline Bradshaw as well as Karen, Jessica (Baang) and Steven Sagehorn. With Roberta Ferrier, he raised Bill and Cindy Evans. Grandchildren are Adam, Anna, Caroline, Will, Daisy, Thomas, and Luke Evans (Bill and Ronda); Taylor, Trevin, and Teddy Kozlowski (Cindy and Darrin); as well as great-granddaughter, Amelia Jane Evans (Adam and Alyssa). Close friends Jim and Judy Kennedy – and all who came and went – were counted as family, as well.
