Jeremy Winter Salsig
July 22, 1945 - August 24, 2016
Jeremy Winter Salsig, 71, passed peacefully August 24, 2016 after a long battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Heaven will be a little brighter in welcoming him.
Winter was born July 22, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas. His father was a night fighter pilot in the Navy and the family moved many times through their early years. His mother, a published author and professional photographer, raised Winter and his three siblings to be successful professional people in their own right.
Winter graduated from Coronado High School, Coronado, Calif. and went on to graduate from Arizona University with a degree in accounting. He joined Daimler Benz AG in the trucking division. After achieving an M.B.A., he was promoted to middle management and became Division Manager for a five-state region in the upper Midwest. He retired in 2002.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Sally Soukup Salsig; his son, Travis Fletcher Salsig; his step-daughter, Mia Z. Michel; two sisters; a brother; and four grandchildren.
A private celebration of life is planned.
