Cora Delores Crandall

June 13, 1932 - September 3, 2016

Cora Delores Crandall of Eagle Point, Ore. left this life to begin her eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ September 3, 2016 after many years enduring Parkinson's Disease. She was born June 13, 1932 at the Hope Street Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. She was the middle daughter of Lawrence and Zola Baker.

Cora graduated high school in Eagle Rock, Calif. in 1950. She delighted in singing in the high school choir all four years. After her graduation, Cora and Peter married. Their life together took them to Glendale, Calif., Granada Hills, Calif., and then to a small lemon ranch in the Santa Rosa Valley in Ventura, Calif.

Peter had a dream to retire to Oregon and build a home resembling an old water-powered mill. And the rest, as they say, "is history." Peter bought the old Butte Creek Mill. Cora and Peter worked side by side, tirelessly, to bring the building back to a functioning water-powered flour mill for the community. For the next 33 years, they employed over 100 people from the Eagle Point area, including family and friends.

Cora helped innumerable people throughout her life. She showed God's love by listening, praying, and in other very tangible ways. She never received any award here on earth for what she did, but her treasures were laid up in heaven.

Cora is survived by her younger sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Harry Kelly of La Canada, Calif.; her daughter and son-in-law, June and John Campbell of Eagle Point, Ore.; her son, David Crandall; and a large extended family of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband of 59 years, Peter Benjamin Crandall (November 7, 2009) and her older sister, Frances Crayne (1995).

"I came into this world in my mother's arms, and she left this world in mine. I've had no greater privilege as her daughter." -June Campbell

A celebration of Cora's beautiful life will be held at 1:00 p.m. September 15, 2016 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Rd. Medford, Ore., 541-779-7777.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Cora, wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and loyal friend.

Until we meet again on that beautiful shore.
