Ralph Weldon Roberts passed onto his next adventure October 29, 2016. He was currently residing in Bixby, Okla. He was born December 3, 1941 in Medford, Ore. to Frank L. Roberts Sr. and Mildred J. McQuigg.

He had a military father and Ralph's travels began around age 10. He graduated from high school in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Within a few months he returned via ship to the States to report to U.S. Air Force basic training. Twenty years later he retired from the service as Master Sergeant. He thrived in the Air Force and to his last day was proud to have served.

Ralph had millions of miles of travel with the largest percentage in the air. Ralph had an array of awards in the Air Force, among them the Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters for Meritorious Achievements.

He did not like to sit still long and thrived on learning new things. After he retired he held several different jobs. The job he held longest was as a chef after attending Culinary School at Rogue River College in Oregon.

Ralph took college courses while in the Air Force and continued to do so after retiring and received his Associate degree.

Ralph was a loner but he loved to be with his family and a few assorted friends, on his own terms. He was loved and we will miss him dearly.

Ralph had only been in Oklahoma for 14 months after being "nagged" by his sister to follow her there after her recent move, so she could keep an watchful eye on him.
