Marian Marie (Aarseth) Daniken
May 20, 1927 - November 6, 2016
Marian Marie (Aarseth) Daniken, 89, of Medford, Ore. went home to be with our Lord and Savior November 6, 2016, and was reunited with Herbert, the love of her life. She was born May 20, 1927 to Conrad and Esther Aarseth in Milwaukee, Wis.
Marian had one sister, Irene Liekis, and two brothers, Conrad Aarseth Jr. and Donald Aarseth all of whom have preceded her in death. Marian moved from Milwaukee to Medford where she met and married the love of her life, Herbert Daniken. They were married May 28, 1955. Together they raised their family of four children at the home Herbert built on Barnett Road. Marian was a stay-at-home mom, raising their four children. She loved children and often babysat for others. Once her children were raised, Marian worked seasonally packing pears at Crystal Springs, Naumes, and Harry and David where she retired.
Marian loved the Lord with her whole heart; she lived her life by example, and was actively involved in the church throughout her lifetime.
Marian loved spending time with her family and taking care of them; she had a very special bond with her children and her grandchildren. She also loved crocheting, sewing, canning, and watching her soap operas. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and seeing the best in them. Marian was an INSPIRATION to her entire family and all who knew her.
Marian is survived by one brother-in-law, Maurice (Betty) Daniken; and one sister-in-law, Helen Daniken; sons, Jim (Christi), Jerry (Christina), and Joel (Jill) Daniken; and daughter, Eileen Georgianna. She leaves a proud legacy of 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She joins her beloved husband, parents, and siblings in her heavenly home.
Mom you were a very big part of our lives and you will be missed dearly, this is not goodbye but see you later!! We LOVE you.
A celebration of Marian’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Hwy., Medford, Ore. Pastor Michael Brown with officiate.
