Carl Andrew Morgan
Carl Morgan passed away December 13, 2016 at his home with his daughter by his side. He was born one of five children to Reverend John and Mary Morgan in Redlands, Calif.
Carl married Norma Catherine McCoy, a "yellow rose of Texas," at age 16. They lived most of their 69 years of marriage in southern Oregon.
Carl built and designed homes around the Rogue Valley but concentrated his home building in Jacksonville. He served two terms as mayor of Jacksonville where he and Norma lived and raised their three children. He completed his career working for KOGAP.
His life after retirement was devoted to caring for his beloved wife, Norma. He remained committed to his family, all of whom he felt were truly gifts from God. He believed that we should love all persons as Christ taught. Love, forgiveness, and having a generous heart and spirit were all a part of his thoughts and prayers for his life here on earth. He looked forward to the day God would say he completed his earthly mission and allow him to join his wife in heaven where they would be together forever.
Carl is survived by his brother, John Morgan, age 90; two daughters; and a large and loving extended family. It brings joy and peace to know that he is now at home with God, his loving wife, and the family who preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
