Marlyn D. Ogren
October 19, 1930 - November 13, 2016
Marlyn D. Ogren passed away November 13, 2016. He was born in Milaca, Minn. and spent his youth in South Dakota. He was a farmboy at heart and loved to hunt and fish.
Marlyn was a United States Air Force veteran and after serving time in Saudi Arabia, he was stationed in Michigan where in 1955 he met and married his wife of 61 years, Margaret. He lived in southern California until 1966 when he moved the family to Hilt, Calif. where he and his brother, Lyle owned and operated the Hilt Garage until the town closed in 1974. He moved to Oregon and retired from the Ashland School District in 1995. His remaining years were spent in Eagle Point.
Marlyn is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret; two daughters, Cindy Parker of Ashland and Pam Davis of Talent; five grandchildren, Heather Parker, Jimmy and Jamie Ogren, and Brian and Katrina Ogren; two sisters, Marlys Sikorski of Fairmount, N.D. and LaDessa Stempfley of Lancaster, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
