Larry Ralph Lacy
April 15, 1943 - December 7, 2016
Larry Ralph Lacy, 73, went to be with the Lord December 7, 2016. He was born April 15, 1943 to Ira Ralph Lacy and Pauleen Helen Robertson (Jones). He attended Eagle Point High School. He married Katherine Lillian Vandagrift in 1970.
Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1968 - 1970. He fought in the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and many more. He was a very hard worker and drove log trucks for a combined total of 56 years. The past 33 years he was employed by Plumley Contracting Co., Inc. He loved his family and was known for his big smile and contagious laugh. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Lillian Vandagrift Lacy; sister, Erma Dufour (Terry); four children, Laura Graves (Paul), Scott Abernathy (Tammy), Michelle Angel (Brook), and Ron Lacy (Lacie); six grandchildren, David Abernathy, Lacy Angel, Sara Angel, Wyatt Angel, Dillon Lacy, and Ellyana Lacy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lewis Lacy; and sister, Barbara Peterson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1974 East McAndrews Road, Medford, Ore. He will be laid to rest at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
