Mary Ann Lockridge
February 23, 1931 - February 24, 2017
Mary Ann, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend went home to be with our Lord the morning of Friday, February 24, 2017 following a brief illness. Her humor and grace in the days preceding her passing were always a part of who she was. We will all miss her presence greatly but are comforted in knowing she is peacefully home now.
Mary Ann was born to Carl and Myrna Laatz. She attended and graduated from Eagle Point High School and retained friendships with classmates throughout her life. She was training to be a nurse when marriage and family became her calling. She was an amazing career homemaker, organizer, wife, and mother; an avid bowler for 30-plus years for which she has many pins and trophies. She loved card games, crosswords, coloring, and making everyone laugh.
Mary Ann leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Charles; her three children, Michael, Donni, and Conni; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews; and many caring friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl; mother, Myrna; brother, Bobby; and sister, Jane, making her the final Laatz in their clan.
Her values, lessons, grace, and many contributions to each of our lives are immeasurable. Dearly loved and missed until we meet again.
In lieu of a memorial service, Mary requested a celebration of her life this spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Asante Hospice of Medford.
