Jim 'Jamale' Allen
April 23, 1939 - January 25, 2017
Jim "Jamale" Allen, 77, passed away January 25, 2017 surrounded by family after losing his battle with cancer.
Jamale was a proud and devoted father and grandfather who lived for his family. He was an avid reader, an intellectual, and a spiritual guru to many. As a yogan for over 35 years, he found his purpose as an advocate for preserving the earth. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature and found his zen tending to his gardens. He was a vegan who strongly believed that food is the best medicine and lived the majority of his life practicing this method. He was incredibly wise, unique, and committed to living his life around his strict fundamentals.
He was a man whose presence did not go unnoticed, he was one-of-a-kind with unforgettable qualities. His loss will be heavily felt by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his daugthters, Autumn Allen, Celeste Allen, and Reyna Allen-Garcia; his grandsons, Bailey Allen and Grayson Garcia; his son G. Garcia; his former wife, Roze Allen; and many beloved family members and friends.
A celebration of life and vegetarian potluck will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. April 23, 2017, his 78th birthday, at the Lithia Springs Resort in Ashland, Oregon. Please call 650-271-4241 with any questions and to RSVP. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Jamale's honor to your favorite environmental charity.
