Donald H. Buchanan, 68, passed away May 28, 2017 at home in Central Point, Oregon.
Don was born November 13, 1948 in Nampa, Idaho. He graduated McCall-Donnelly High School, Western Technical College for Auto Mechanics, Machinist Program at Idaho State University. He married Connie Bollar March 28, 1970. Don served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a machinist in Boise, Idaho and later moved to Central Point, Ore. where he had his own successful machine shop. His greatest love was taking a box of tractor parts and making a new one — better than the original part.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Connie, Central Point, Ore.; son Jeffery (Lori), Clayton, New York; brother, Rick (Maggie)Buchanan, Hamilton, Montana; grandson, Alistair Buchanan; mother-in-law, Dene Bollar, McCall, Idaho; brothers-in-law, Bert Bollar, Jackson, Wyoming; Dale (Carolyn) Bollar, McCall, Idaho; Monte (Cyndie) Bollar, Boise, Idaho; sister-in-law, JoElla Bollar, Nampa, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by son, Davy; father, Howard (Jean) Buchanan; mother, Louise Bears; and father-in-law, Art Bollar.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. June 2, 2017 at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Ore. Interment to follow in McCall, Idaho at a later date.
