Chester Ray Funderburg
Chester Ray Funderburg, 59, passed away July 5, 2017 in Medford, Oregon. He was born December 26, 1957 in San Bernardino, California to David and Virginia Funderburg.
He was married to Charlene Funderburg who preceded him in death. Chester graduated in 1976 from South Fork High in Miranda, Calif. He then joined the United States Navy. He graduated from Rogue Community College with an Associate degree in general studies.
Chester worked at the Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center as a Peer Support specialist.
He loved fishing, camping, and hanging out with his step-son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Funderburg; brother, David Funderburg (Amy); sisters, Carol Lytle (Lynn), Denise Doremus (Walter), and Treva Peters (Gordon); step-sons, Richard Brod and John Brown; nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Funderburg.
Chester was a loving son, brother, husband, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; he will be greatly missed!
The family will host a celebration of life and potluck from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Bear Creek Park Pavilion in Medford, Ore.
