Evelyn “Edie” Dorothy Lawson
August 16, 1942 - August 2, 2017
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away August 2, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her soulmate Floyd “Ken” Kenneth Lawson Jr. Edie and Ken are dancing together again after four long years of being apart.
Evelyn was born August 16, 1942 in St. Helena, California to Harold Rutherford Stott and Gladys Marybelle Murray Johnson who preceded her in death. She attended and graduated from Eugene High School in 1960. She worked as a financial assistant for the U.S. Forest Service for 23 years.
Evelyn was involved in several bowling leagues, and bowled through this May. She loved working in her yard, sewing her own clothes, and fishing in Alaska with her son.
Survivors include her two sons, Darrell (Barb) Fox of Kodiak, Alaska and Dwayne (Renee) Fox of Fosters, Oregon; four stepchildren, Floyd “Bud” K. (Jeannie) Lawson III, Deanna (Bear) Lawson, Karen (Mike) Magill, and Laurie Alexander; and 12 grandchildren.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 10, 2017 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point, OR. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
