Connie Lavern Derouen
March 8, 1941 - October 13, 2017
Connie Lavern Derouen, 76, of Central Point passed away October 13, 2017 at Providence Medford Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1941 to Curt and Marie Amburgey. They soon moved to San Diego, California where she was a good student, active in sports, and had a talent for art.

A few months later, they moved to Medford and bought a house, and Connie started painting again. She worked first part time, then full time in the call center at Harry & David. They bought a house with five acres in Central Point where they had many animals. She retired and found rubber stamping and computing, met with retired coworkers, and went to Weight Watchers and Shari’s after. Connie was generous to charities, loved pets and the many trees in the yard. Connie was a loving wife who is missed beyond words.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; sister, Bobie; niece, Kim; and nephew, Curtis of San Diego.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. October 27, 2017 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
