James W. Kile

James "Jim" Kile, 88, of Medford passed away September 23, 2017, in Reno, Nevada, while enroute to Broomfield, Colorado to visit his son. Jim was born May 4, 1929 to Lee and Mary (Mercer) Kile in Quanah, Texas, the fourth of seven children. The family moved from Wisconsin to the Rogue Valley in 1937 and Jim graduated from Rogue River High School in 1947.
He spent four years in the Navy during the Korean War and after discharge he worked as a real estate broker in California and then Colorado. Upon his retirement in 1991, he moved back to the Rogue Valley and has lived in Medford since that time.
Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia (Campbell) Kile of Medford; son, Walter Kile of Broomfield, Colo.; four grandsons, Ryan, Evan, Bradan, and Adrian, all of Colorado; and sister, Patricia Zieser and brother, Byron ‘Tut’ Kile, both of Rogue River. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Anna Lee Davis and Jennette Hawkins; and brothers, George and Raymond Kile.
No services are planned. Inurnment of ashes will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
