Clifford Joe Dalton

Clifford Joe Dalton, 70, of Jacksonville passed away unexpectedly October 17, 2017 while hunting with his family. Cliff was born April 11, 1947 in Medford to Paul and Esther Dalton.
Cliff began logging at the age of 20 and continued to do so for 20 years. He then changed careers and began working for Rogue Disposal until he retired 24 years later. During Cliff's life, he was an active volunteer within the Jacksonville community, participating as a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and was a volunteer at the Jacksonville Fire Department.
Cliff enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, fishing, woodworking, and hunting. Cliff left this world doing what he loved to do and was surrounded by those he loved. He was a giving and caring man, who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his three sons; Jon Sutherland (Laura), of Eagle Point, Stuart Dalton (Dyan), of Medford, and Jim Dalton (Nicole), of Waddell, Arizona; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 26, at the Jacksonville Cemetery. Mark Dalton will be officiating. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 28, from 1-4 p.m. at the Oddfellows Lodge in Jacksonville.
