Vivian Stevenson Locke
July 14, 1939 - November 29, 2017
Vivian Locke, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this life November 29, 2017 at home in Ashland. She was born in LaGrande, Oregon to Caroline and Elmo Stevenson (both deceased) and the family moved to Ashland in 1945. Vivian attended Ashland schools, Oregon State University, University of Oregon, Southern Oregon University, and was a professional educator. She taught in Ashland schools and served as a principal in Port Orford and Prineville schools. Vivian loved to travel and visited much of the world during her retirement years. At home in Ashland, she enjoyed her activities in P.E.O. and D.K.G. organizations.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rosemary. She is survived by her husband, Lance; her daughters, Stephanie Locke and Teresa Benson; her grandson, Steve Pintar; and a brother, Ken Stevenson.
In response to her wishes, no service is planned, but her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dear friends who kept her active and involved during difficult months. The family would also like to thank Providence Hospice for their care. Vivian will be missed by many!
