James Dean Plummer

November 27, 1947 - December 8, 2017

James Dean Plummer (Jim), 70, of Medford, Oregon passed Friday, December 8, 2017. He was born November 27, 1947 in Seattle, Washington to Dean Plummer and Agnes Plummer. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1966 and received a degree from Southern Oregon State College. He served in the Air Force from 1968-1971.

Jim started as a CPA, worked for Bob Frink car dealerships, and later owned Medford Nissan/BMW until he retired in 1997.

Jim is survived by his children, Heather Hoxie (Ryan) and Cory Plummer (Tori). He was a devoted grandfather to Hayden, Chase, Jake, and Weston. He is also survived by his loving partner, Deb Stuart and two sisters, Carol and Cathi, both of Washington.

Jim loved golf, travel, and playing cards with friends. He stayed connected to the many friendships he developed through life. He often gathered with friends from high school and traveled with neighbors and golf buddies. Jim was a sports fanatic, he loved crossword puzzles, and had the world's biggest sweet tooth. In November, Jim enjoyed a fantastic gathering of all of his family and friends in celebration of his 70th birthday.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him or called him a friend. A private memorial service will be held at the annual Plummer Family Golf Reunion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ted Norman Memorial Baseball Complex in Eugene, 1860 Laura Street, Springfield, OR 97477.
