John Hughes Jr.

John Hughes Jr. (Little John), passed away March 16, 2018 at home in Medford, Oregon. He was born April 16, 1948 in Covina, California to John and Marion Hughes.
John’s family moved throughout his childhood, stopping in several locations: Las Vegas, Nevada; Apple Valley and Los Angeles, Calif.; Sweet Home, Ore.; and Riverside, Calif. until they finally settled in Medford, Ore.
John married his true love, Belva (Bel) Hughes, February 20, 1966 in Midway City, Calif.
He moved his family to Medford in 1970 where he and his family started a business on Table Rock Road, Big John’s & Sons.
In 1985, John left the family business and started his own auto repair and body shop, Little John’s. His business flourished until his retirement in 2011.
Since his retirement, he followed his passion for woodworking, metal fabrication, stained glass, rock hunting, and he extensively remodeled and added to our home and property. He was a member and enjoyed the fellowship and family of the Red Rock Cowboy Church in Sams Valley. He enjoyed giving his art and love to his fellow worshippers, friends, and family.
He is survived by his wife, Belva; sons, Christopher (Debby) Hughes and Brian (Mindy) Hughes; grandchildren, Paul Hughes, Derrick Goffic, Tim Saunders, and Marissa Jackson; and great-grandchild, Karmyn Bee Watkins.
