Charles Thayer Freeman
August 24, 1964 – April 29, 2018
Charles (Charlie) was born on August 24, 1964 in Norfolk, Virginia to Charles and Carolyn Morey.
He was raised in the Rogue Valley and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1982. He was on the Medford Swim Team for eight years, winning several district and state championship awards.
After several traveling adventures, Charlie proudly served his country in the Navy from 1993 to 1997. He was honorably discharged after an unfortunate on-base accident left him with several life altering injuries.
Charles cared for his mother at her home during the last years of her life. After a difficult grieving period, Charlie met the love of his life, Jackie Grant Freeman, in January, 2014, and they were married August 16, 2014.
Charlie loved his friends and family. He loved music and adored and doted on his beloved pet beagles, Bentley and Louie, and his peace dove, Marley.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Jennifer; stepfather, Dean Freeman; father-in-law, Jack Grant; sister, Remi (Charlie) Burton; brother-in-law, Mark Grant (Corina); sister-in-law, Tracy Boynton (Chris); nieces, Julia, Samantha, Armineh, Alicia, and Summer; and nephews, Nick, Travis, Matthew, Tyler, Kyle, Kristopher, and Raffi.
Charles will be inurned at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
