Calvin "Cal " Worley
April 5, 1927 - July 18, 2018
Cal was born April 5, 1927 in Umbarger, Texas to Claude and Myrtle Worley. At the age of 11 his family relocated to Klamath Falls, Oregon where he graduated in 1945 from KU High School. After graduating he served in the Navy aboard ship in Japan. After returning from the Navy he returned to Klamath Falls and married Dolores Coleman and had three children. He started his career in 1948 working for Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1953 he relocated his family to Roseville, California to continue his career with Southern Pacific for over 40 years, during which his marriage to Dolores ended. In 1999 he moved back to Klamath Falls in order to be closer to his family, where he met and married Ella Mae Braniff. They moved to Phoenix, Ore. along with Mae’s daughter Sandra Roberts who helped care for them until Cal's death July 18, 2018.
Cal loved playing guitar with his brother, Dale and grandson, Adrian.
Cal is survived by his loving wife, Ella Mae; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Melva Worley; his sons, Jerry Worley and Philip Worley; a daughter, Claudia; son-in-law, Glen Wright; and step-children, Sandy, Judy, and Larry. Cal had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his mother, father, and brothers Charles and Bill.
He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and great stories he loved to share.
