Vehicle theft — Douglas Arthur Hacket, 35, of the 3600 block of Avenue G, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hacket Friday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $10,000 bail.
Animal abuse — Randi Rai McNabb, 33, of the 200 block of South Haskell Street, Central Point. Central Point police arrested McNabb Saturday on felony warrants charging her with aggravated first-degree animal abuse and first-degree animal abuse, and on a misdemeanor animal abuse charge. She was held in jail Saturday on $7,500 bail.
Eluding — Elizabeth Jeanet Vega, 34, of the 1100 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Vega Saturday on felony warrants charging her with two counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor warrants charging her with attempting to elude police by foot, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person and for violating her parole on a prior methamphetamine delivery conviction. She was held in jail Saturday on $35,000 bail.
Identity theft — Brandon James Fernandez, 36, no address reported. Medford police arrested Fernandez Friday on a single felony identity theft charge. He was booked into jail Saturday and held without bail.
Aggravated theft — Kevin Walker Maple, 37, of the 2200 block of Ross Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Maple Sunday on a felony charge of aggravated theft in the first degree and on warrant for failing to appear in court regarding a criminal mischief charge. He was booked into jail and held on $13,000 bail.
Eluding — Angelo Ray Short, 45, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Short Saturday on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license and felony charge of attempting to elude police by vehicle. He was booked into jail Saturday and released on his own recognizance Sunday.
Burglary — Thomas Owen Simonds, 32, of Lawrence, Kans. Medford police arrested Simonds Sunday on charges of burglary in the first degree, criminal mischief and theft in the third degree. He was booked into jail and held on $27,500 bail.
