Oregon Health Authority releases new COVID-19 case report

COVID-19 cases in Oregon dropped 11% last week from the previous week, the seventh consecutive week of such declines, according to the Oregon Health Authority's weekly COVID-19 outbreak report, released Wednesday.

Still, cases continue to trend in Jackson and Josephine counties and statewide.

The data — for the week of Monday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 17 — include the names of workplaces, senior living communities, child care facilities and K-12 schools where coronavirus cases are happening. OHA says to protect privacy it only reports outbreaks at businesses with at least 30 employees and five cases. It doesn’t report deaths at individual businesses.
