Jamaican and local reggae groups at CultureWorks

Jamaican band Rootz Underground fuses alternative reggae and spiritually and politically conscious lyrics. The band will perform at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at CultureWorks, 310 Oak St., Ashland. While the band's roots are in reggae, its music also is influenced by hip hop, jazz, rock and dub. Southern Oregon-based reggae groups Indubious and Alcyon Massive also will perform. Cover to the show is $20 at the door or $15 online at http://cultureworks.inticketing.com/events/125285.
