Carolyn Mark at Alex's
Canadian alt-country singer, songwriter and guitarist Carolyn Mark will perform and, very likely, crack a lot of jokes at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant, 35 N. Main St., Ashland.
Mark's love affair with music began in the early '90s with her surfy, twangy pop band, The Vinaigrettes. Since then, she's done stints with The Metronome Cowboys, The Fixin's and the Corn Sisters, a duo with country diva Neko Case. In the last decade, Mark's solo career has taken off, and she's released nine albums with Mint Records; toured throughout North America and in the U.K., Norway and Italy; and performed with numerous standout artists along the way.
The cover to her show at Alex's is $5. Call 541-482-8818 or see www.carolynmark.com for more information.
