Rogue Valley Symphony with Nancy Zhou: The symphony, conducted by Martin Majkut, will perform He Zhanhao and Chen Gang’s “The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto” with pianist Nancy Zhou during its “Chinese New Year Celebration” concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the Music Recital Hall, 450 Mountain Ave., at Southern Oregon University, Ashland; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. The program will include Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 1” and “Symphony No. 2.” Majkut will present talks about the music one hour before each show. Tickets are $37 to $60 for the SOU show; $25 to $55 for the Craterian shows. Tickets are $15 for ages 6 to 22 at all shows. Post-Valentine’s Blues Party: Drag queen Diva Disaster will host a post-Valentine’s Day singles bash at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Randall Theatre, 20 S. Fir St., Medford. Live blues and soul will be performed by Mercy Trio, featuring singer Lynda Day, guitarist Dave Day and Demian Norvell on bass and keys.
