Southern Oregon Concert Band: The community band, conducted by Chris Pearson, will present “Music of the American Presidency,” a program which features works that reflect on or were written as ceremonial music for presidential occasions, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Stedman Auditorium at Central Medford High School, 815 S. Oakdale Ave. The program features Aaron Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait” and two pieces by Sousa — “Presidential Polonaise” and “President Garfield’s Inaugural March.” “In Infamy,” a work reflecting on the emotions and actions inspired by FDR’s Pearl Harbor address, and “Elegy for a Young American,” a response to the tragic passing of the 35 th President, John F.
