SHELDON 5-12, GRANTS PASS 4-6 — At Eugene, Brandon Drury and Brock Beam each hit early two-run home runs for Grants Pass in the opener, but Sheldon proved to be too much and got the SWC sweep.

Drury homered in the first inning and Beam followed in the top of the third.

After the Irish (11-9, 5-5 SWC) knotted the score 4-all in the bottom of the frame, Wyatt Davis plated Landon Frost on a safety squeeze to get the winning run across in the fourth.

In Game 2, Davis had a bases-clearing triple and two-run double during a 10-run inning that rallied Sheldon from a 6-2 deficit.

Ryan Miller had two doubles in the second game for the Cavemen (3-21, 2-10 SWC).
