Top-ranked Roseburg cruises past Crater

CENTRAL POINT — The top-ranked Roseburg wrestling team used superior depth to down Crater, 66-3, in the Southern Oregon Hybrid dual on Friday.

The Comets' lone win was a 4-3 decision by Micah Walker over Jake Snyder in the 195-pound match.

Walker rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the triumph.

Other than that, the Indians dominated the day.

Roseburg's fourth-ranked David Harker topped Crater's second-ranked Tommy Winningham, 4-2, in overtime to avenge a semifinals loss at the Reser's Tournament of Champions in January.

The Comets dropped to 9-7 in duals.

NORTH MEDFORD 11, SOUTH MEDFORD 0 — Mikaen Magee scored two of his three goals in the first period to get undefeated North Medford off to a quick start against South Medford at The RRRink.

Magee added a pair of assists and Chase Courtney registered two goals and three assists. Jeremy Wu added two goals for the Black Tornado (8-0).
