Guglielmino finishes strong at GPD

GRANTS PASS — Kassie Guglielmino churned out three more victories and finished as the season’s leading jockey on Sunday in the final running at Grants Pass Downs.

Jake Samuels, last season’s leading jockey, captured four wins on the day but was runner-up with 22 to Guglielmino’s 23 victories.

Samuels’ big win came in the fifth race, the Quarter Horse Derby, atop Chicks R Gone, which reaped $2,580 of the $6,000 purse.
