PREP TENNIS: Phoenix girls edge Mustangs

Phoenix pulled out both singles matches in a tiebreaker and prevailed 3-2 against visiting Hidden Valley in Class 4A/3A/2A/1A District 3 girls tennis at Bear Creek Park Saturday,

Bella Hoye and Miranada Perez of Phoenix both won a tiebreaker after taking the opening set and losing the second.

In doubles, the Pirates’ No. 2 team of Ally Ellis and Courtney House lost just one game in winning two straight sets against Scarlyn Grider and Kylee Kimberlin.
