Mondale Memorial features balanced efforts by locals

PHOENIX — Cascade Christian, Eagle Point and Phoenix each landed three wrestling champions to highlight action Friday at the Harry Mondale Memorial Invitational at Phoenix High.

Ashland and South Medford also had a strong showing, with each placing five wresters among the top-two finishers in what ultimately was a balanced effort overall. Eagle Point and Phoenix also had five top-two finishers.

Eagle Point won the team title with 155 points, followed closely by South Medford (120) and Ashland (115).
