ABBY'S HOLIDAY CLASSIC: Carpenter, Karrick lift North

Jett Carpenter and Nick Karrick each scored 22 points, and the North Medford boys basketball team employed a harrassing defense and efficient offense in downing Ashland, 73-48, in the first round of the Abby’s Holiday Classic at North Medford High Thursday.

The Black Tornado (4-4) faces McNary (4-1) at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the semifinals. McNary routed Roseburg, 75-48.
