Mail Tribune All-Star games off due to virus

The annual Mail Tribune All-Star Basketball Classic has been canceled because of the coronavirus.

The event, which would have been in its 13th year, brings top local high school boy and girl players from all classifications together in games that benefit Kids Unlimited.

The teams, the Rogues and the Siskiyous, were chosen early this week, and the games were to be played next Friday.

Here are the players and the teams for which they were selected:

Rogue boys: Landon Ellis, North Medford; Keegan Losinski, South Medford; Finn Hilden, Ashland; Kruger Edwards, Crater; Ethan Hutsell, Phoenix; Tanner Lauby, North Valley; Layne Collom, Cascade Christian; Tre Foster, St. Mary’s; Diego Agosto, Rogue River; Sam Hess, Illinois Valley.

Siskiyou boys: Jett Carpenter, North Medford; Junior Sleezer, South Medford; Cade Ealy, Grants Pass; Nate Whitlock, Ashland; Hunter Chubb, Crater; Braeden Watts, Phoenix; Jeremiah Noga, Hidden Valley; Donminic Lewis, Cascade Christian; Josh Banton, St. Mary’s; Devon Malcolm, Butte Falls/Crater Lake.

Rogue girls: Abby Christiansen, North Medford; Bella Pedrojetti, South Medford; Toni Coleman, South Medford; Jayd Sollinger, Ashland; Averi Young, Crater; Josie Bolstad, Phoenix; Teryn Powers, Hidden Valley; Kaylee Touey, North Valley; Sophie Ferreira, Cascade Christian; Alyssa Sizemore, Rogue River.

Siskiyou girls: Jane Ersepke, North Medford; Kaili Chamberlin, South Medford; Emma Schmerbach, South Medford; Nina Munson, Ashland; McKenzie Hirsch, Crater; Kayana Woodard, Crater; Andrea Flores, Eagle Point; Delani Parent, Phoenix; Kaiah Fisher, Hidden Valley; Ryker Rothfus, St. Mary’s.
