GIRLS BASKETBALL: Slow start dooms Ashland

ASHLAND — The Ashland girls basketball team’s final nonleague game of the 2021-22 season saw about the opposite kind of start that they were hoping for take place.

Yreka put Ashland into a 21-point first-quarter hole and the Grizzlies were never able to recover on their way to a 54-21 loss to the Miners at North Mountain Gym on Tuesday night.
