PREP ROUNDUP: Hudson’s perfect game paces Panthers

Kacee Hudson tossed a perfect game for the South Medford softball team, which kept its record unscathed Monday with a 17-0 win over McKay in three innings at South Medford High School.

Hudson not only did not surrender a hit or a walk but struck out all nine of the batters she faced in the contest, which was called after three innings by virtue of the 15-run mercy rule.

McKay walked 13 batters in the shortened contest, allowing the Panthers (4-0) to take advantage and churn out 14 runs in the second inning, highlighted by Nahlani Quigley’s two-run single.

Quigley drove in three runs and scored twice, Maddy Fullenwider posted a double, two runs and two RBIs while Nicole Ledendecker scored two runs and knocked in another.
