BOYS HOOPS: Crater settles for second in Yreka

YREKA, Calif. — Grants Pass stormed out of the gate to take control and cruised from there to score a 63-45 boys basketball victory over Crater in the championship game of the Yreka Tournament.

Bennett finished with 15 points, Gavin McLean added 12 and Ivan Isley scored 10 to help Grants Pass remain unbeaten at 3-0 with runaway wins over Etna of California, Class 4A Henley and the 5A Comets.

Ashton Acrey scored 14 points to pace Crater (2-1), while Ty Dahlin had 12.
