N. England rolls over Sounders
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Diego Fagundez scored two first-half goals and the New England Revolution routed the Western Conference-leading Seattle Sounders 5-0 Sunday.
New England (5-3-2) extended its unbeaten run to five matches (4-0-1), and snapped a four-match winless slide against Seattle.
The Sounders (7-3-1) had their six-match (5-0-1) unbeaten run ended and the MLS' No. 1 ranked offense was shut out for the first time this season.
Fagundez scored his first two goals of the season in the 29th and 41st minutes for the Revolution.
Chivas USA 3, Rapids, 1
At Commerce City, Colo., Marvin Chavez scored two goals against his former team and Chivas USA ended an eight-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Sunday.
Erick Torres opened the scoring with his eighth goal of the season in the 56th minute for Chivas, which had gone 0-5-3 since beating the Chicago Fire in its season opener.
Real Salt Lake 5, Dynamo 2
At Houston, Javier Morales scored three times to lead Real Salt Lake past a 10-man Houston to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games to start the season.
Alvaro Saborio added a goal, and Luke Mulholland scored late in the second half for Salt Lake (5-0-5).
Mark Sherrod scored twice for Houston (4-5-2), which had its three-game unbeaten streak snapped.
