Rogues pull out wild victory
WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Derron Davis went 5-for-5 and had the go-ahead RBI double in the 10th inning as the Medford Rogues rallied to beat Walla Walla, 10-9, during West Coast League play on Sunday.
With two outs in the bottom of the 10th, Walla Walla’s Chris McCready was caught stealing after a throw to second base by relief pitcher Jalen Fuhriman.
Dan Mayer hit a key three-run home run in the eighth for Medford, which trailed 7-5 before the shot. The Sweets evened the game at 9 in the ninth with a bases-loaded walk.
Brock Pradere was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs and Nathan Etheridge added two hits for the Rogues, who won the last two contests of their three-game series.
