Dutch Bros. partner with Timbers
GRANTS PASS — Grants Pass-based Dutch Bros. has been named the exclusive coffee and energy drink partner of the Portland Timbers for the 2016 Major League Soccer season.
The partnership deal will give Dutch Bros. the opportunity to align with a team that holds the same values and culture, according to a news release issued by Dutch Bros.
"The Timbers are a great partner for us," said Travis Boersma, president of Dutch Bros. "We love the commitment to community, youth and most importantly fun."
Dutch Bros. will serve coffee drinks, its Blue Rebel energy drink and hot chocolate at Providence Park, the Timbers' home stadium in Portland.
"We are excited to team up with Dutch Bros, and we look forward to a great partnership with such a like-minded company," said Mike Golub, president of business operations for the Timbers.
Dutch Bros. is excited for this opportunity to plant deeper roots in the Rose City and enhance its relationships in the Portland community, according to the news release.
Dutch Bros., which started in 1992 with a single coffee stand in downtown Grants Pass, is the country's largest privately held, drive-thru coffee company, with more than 260 locations and more than 5,000 employees in seven states. Dutch Bros. serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas and a private-label, Dutch Bros. Blue Rebel energy drink.
