Flags flew for deaths in Arizona
I saw flags flying half-staff around town this week. Did it have something to do with the shooting in Arizona?

Indeed, Caleb, flags in the state of Oregon were lowered to half-staff this week in response to the shooting deaths of six people and the critical wounding of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Dec. 8 in Tucson, Ariz. Flags were ordered to remain at half-staff until sundown Friday.
Bev Orndorff of the Southern Oregon Education Service District office in Medford said Gov. John Kitzhaber issued a second order to extend flying the flags at half-staff through Saturday, Jan. 15, in honor of Ralph Painter, the Rainier police chief who was shot and killed during a struggle on Jan. 5.
